This week in school we were to wright a thanks giving day poem, while today, we will be having a thanksgiving feast. For my poem I wrote:
Thanks to all the long, hot summer days
Hard to think fall makes me miss the blaze
The sun made it easy for the memorable plays
The games we played in so many ways
Thanks to all the night’s that were cold
The pages that turned and the tale that unfolds
Here’s to all the rules untold
Just to rely on being so bold
Thanks to all my friends
Though our life’s have many bends
Your joy, and comfort always tends
I’m sad when our conversations meet their ends
Thanks to all the wisdom we bring
As we may fall, the landing might sting
Which only could help us come out as a king.
A king that is kind without anything.
A challenge in life is not what it seems.
Thanks to all the little details
The poets, the musicians, the painters who failed
The teachers, the engineers, the surgeons as well
The writers, the travelers they all have a tail
The choices that create a city of new trails.
All of our poems will be read aloud at the feast for all to hear. I hope you all have an amazing Thanks Giving, and keep in mind everything your thankful for!
