On Thursday and Friday, we went on a field trip. Earlier in the week we were building our own wind turbines out of PVC pipe that actually produced energy. We went to visit a wind farm to hear more about them. We viewed a giant blade from a wind turbine, and it was 35 meters long. Next, we headed to the Wichita mountains to visit the top of Mt. Scott and take pictures, we saw a bunch of daddy long leg spiders.
And while we were going down the mountain, every time I saw a spider I backed up and said “Excuse me Sir.”
Next we headed to the wildlife refuge and saw some buffalo. Then we went to the parallel forest and saw a fort made out of wood. Then we went to the visitor center and on the way we saw some prairie dogs, I wanted to get out of the car and take one, but I wasn’t allowed to. Then we went to our hotel and had a pool party, it was short, but it was a party. The next morning, we headed to the OKBOMB memorial. We got to see the museum and hear what it sounded like when the bomb hit. Then we went to a forensics class and tried to solve to case of the OKBOMB with clues. Then we headed home, in all it was a nice trip.
